The Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI) holds the first Quran competition for its students who study in the universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
HQMI has held, in Jeddah, the first Quran competition for the memorizers of HQMI who study in the universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Islamic University in Medina, Imam Muhammad bin Saudi University in Riyadh, Umm Al Qura University in Mecca, Al Baha University, AL Qassim University, Jazan University and Al A'emah and Al Du'aah institute of the Muslim World League in Mecca).
39 students participated in the competition, 32 of them got the certified passing. A jury head by Sheikh Abdulaziz Qaid, the chairman of the electronic Maqra'ah of HQMI, and membership of Mr. Muhammad Al Attar, the director of the technology section of HQMI and Mr. Waleed Al Hadhrami, a teacher of the electronic Maqra'ah.
Moreover, the secretary-general, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Basfar has honored the top 10 winners in which the student Saud Sumiman of Benin got the first place while the student Yassen Yehya Muhammad of Yemen got the second place and the student Abdulrahman Ihab Hasan Awadh of Yemen got the third place. Three of them are students in Islamic University in Medina. At the end of the competition, gifts were distributed and certificates to the winners and the participants.
On the other hand, HQMI has organized, for its memorizers who study in the universities in the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia, the second education forum titled: (towards a bright future in the Holy Quran) which is on the period of time from 4 - 5 / 6 / 1436 H. The forum was started by some verses of the Holy Quran followed by four speeches in the first day titled as followings: (life project), (how memorizers do their rule towards their communities), (memorizers of Quran are the safety of their communities) and (dialog skills in the life of memorizers)
On the second day of the forum, three speeches were delivered titled: (certified passing of Quran and its regulations), (moderation in the life of Quran memorizers) and (my life with Quran) in which a number of doctors have delivered these speeches. At the end of the forum, some guidance were released, most important are:
1. Insuring the significant of moderation in the life of the memorizers and mastering dialog skills.
2. Supervising the memorizers who got the specified passing as well as improving their skills, offering them special courses and providing a course for qualifying the certified passing in summer time.
3. Encouraging the memorizers to construct educational and advocacy projects in their countries for serving the Holy Quran.
4. Choosing a coordinator amongst the memorizers of HQMI in each university that they study in for that HQMI and other students can communicate through this coordinator.
