The Muslim World League Holds a Quran Competition for 67 Memorizers in The Philippines

In collaboration with Al Risalah Foundation in the Philippines, Muslim World League organized a Quran competition consists of seven categories in the participation of 67 competitors.
The general secretary of the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization, HQMI, - which follows the Muslim World League – Dr. Abdullah Basfar said: implementing the command of the general secretary of Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al Eisa, HQMI held a Quran competition consists of seven categories which are: memorizing the Holy Quran along with Al Juzaryah, memorizing the Holy Quran along with memorizing words meanings, memorizing the Holy Quran along with memorizing 152 Hadith from Riyadh Al Saleheen, memorizing the Holy Quran along with Tajweed, memorizing fifteen Juz’, memorizing five Juz’ and memorizing Aumdat Al Ahkam. A jury was formed consists of 6 members in order to supervise the competition activities.
Dr. Basfar clarified that an honoring ceremony was held for this occasion at the headquarters of the southern Lanao province in Philippines attended by the representative of Saudi embassy in Philippines Faris Al Mutairi, the dean of King Faisal collage of Mindanao university Dr. Ronseng Asnaweel, the representative of province office Mr. Musa Jumla’, the representative of HQMI Mr. Rasheed Awabid, a number of scholars, teachers, students and a gathering of citizens; pointing out to the great role that the Muslim World League exerts through HQMI in serving Holy Quran memorizers and students.
The speakers encouraged the memorizers to keep studying and following the Book of Allah and His messenger.
At the end, prizes and gifts were distributed amongst the winners of the competition. It is worth mentioning that the Muslim World League holds several programs for teaching and memorizing Holy Quran annually all over the world, in Muslim countries particularly.
