2400 Memorizers Participate in Dr. Fareed Qurashi Competition Organized by HQMI in Pakistan

In collaboration with Muslim World League office in Pakistan, the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization, HQMI, had hold Dr. Fareed Qurashi competition (may Allah have mercy on him) for memorizing the Holy Quran under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques ambassador in Pakistan. The competition, in which 2400 memorizers participated, consists of 6 categores: memorizing Quran with the ten recitations, memorizing Quran with Riyadh Al Saliheen, memorizing Quran with Ajuzariyah introduction, memorizing Quran with words meaning, memorizing Quran with Gharaeeb Al Huffaz and memorizing Quran for junior memorizers. In addition, a jury was formed for the activities of this competition headed by the speaker and Imam of King Faisal mosque Sheikh Muhammad Akhlaq Madani and memberships of other five. Moreover, an honoring ceremony was held for the participants in this competition at the International Islamic University hall in Islamabad attended by the Federal Minister of Islamic Affairs in Pakistan Mr. Sardad Muhammad Yusuf, the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Pakistan Mr. Abdullah bin Marzuq Al Zahrani, a number of Arab countries’ ambassadors, the representative of HQMI, Dr. Muhib Aldeen Abdul Subhan Waedh, jury members, a number of those who are interested in Quran matters, teachers, students and their parents and a gathering of citizens. The ceremony started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by some delivered speeches in which speakers expressed their happiness and joy attending such an occasion thanking the organizers and congratulating the memorizers and encouraging them to keep memorizing, mastering and following what is within the Holy Quran. Also, they lauded the great effort exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in serving Islam and Muslims all over the world. At the end, prizes and gifts were distributed amongst the winners of the competition.
