55 Competitors Participate in The Holy Quran Competition in Sweden
Under the sponsorship of Ministry of Endowments in Kuwait and in collaboration with the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization, HQMI, ALRISALAH Scandinavian Endowment in Sweden has organized a Quran competition in which 55 competitors participated. The competition consists of four categories: memorizing the entire Quran, memorizing 20 Juz’, 10 Juz’ and 5 Juz’. This was under the supervision of a jury formed of eight members. Moreover, an honoring ceremony was held for the participants of the competition attended by the Imam of Medina and the representative of HQMI Sheikh Muhammad Khalil Al Qari, the representative of Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry of Kuwait Mr. Muhammad Al Umair, the general-secretary of ALRISALAH Scandinavian Endowment Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Aqeel, the representative of HQMI Sheikh Saeed Ba Huthaifi, jury members, teachers, memorizers and their parents and a number of those who are interested in Quran matters. Some speeches were delivered in which speakers pointed out to the importance of the Holy Quran and congratulated the winners encouraging them to continue exerting more effort in memorizing and mastering the Holy Quran following its commands and good ethic instructions. They also thanked the organizers of the competition lauding the great effort exerted by HQMI in serving the Holy Quran as well as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in serving the Book of Allah and in serving Islam and Muslims all over the world. At the end of the ceremony, prizes were distributed amongst the winners of the memorizers.
