In collaboration with the International Organization, the Islamic General Secretariat Foundation of Guiana Holds a Quran Competition in the Participation of 38 Students
In collaboration with the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization, HQMI, the Islamic General Secretariat foundation has held a Quran competition in Guiana of South America at the international conference center in Georgetown in which 38 students participated. The competition consists of five categories: memorizing 10, 5, 2, 1 and reciting the first 10 Juz’. A jury was formed for the activities of this competition consists of four members. Moreover, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the chairman of Central Organization in Guiana Mr. Fudail Fairus, the chairman of Islamic General Secretariat Organization and the representative of HQMI Sheikh Abdul Alim Raheem, the representatives of Islamic organizations and foundations, students and their parents. The ceremony has started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by some delivered speeches in which speakers pointed out to the great effort exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz in serving Islam and Muslims all over the world. They also lauded the great effort exerted by HQMI in serving the Holy Quran all over the world and spoke about the virtues of memorizing Quran as well as encouraged parents to teach their children the Holy Quran. At the end, prizes and gifts were distributed amongst the competitors.
