Dr. Al Turki Heads The First Meeting of The International Council of Sheikhs of Recitations

The first meeting of the international council of Sheikhs of recitations was held on Thursday morning, the 16/1/1473 H in the Clock Tower of Mecca headed by the general-secretary of Muslim World League and the chairman of the board of directors of HQMI Dr. Abdulmehsin Al Turki and attended by the general-secretary of the council of Sheikhs of recitations Dr. Abdullah Basfar and the membership of twenty distinct Sheikhs of the Muslim world.
The meeting was started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a delivered speech in which Dr. Al Turki welcomed the members of the council and thanked them for their participation and attendance wishing them success in their tasks serving Holy Quran and its sciences pointing out to the great effort exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia follows the same strategy since the era of the first founder King Abdulaziz and that the formation of such a council comes within the caring of the Holy Quran and its Sheikhs all over the world from the rulers of the Kingdom in terms of teaching, mastering, reciting and Tajweed. After that, the agenda was presented which includes status list of the international council of Sheikhs of recitations and ratification committee of passing, controlling of the publication of specialized scientific magazine for reciting Quran. They have also discussed suggestions from some members. At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the council and its members thanked the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz and the Deputy Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for their continuous efforts in serving the Holy Quran and its sciences as well as thanked HQMI for their great effort in serving the Holy Quran and its memorizers all over the world and for their initiation of forming such a council.
