450 Competitors Participate in The Quran Competition which Itqan Foundation for Teaching The Holy Quran organized in Collaboration with The International Organization
In collaboration with The Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI), Itqan Foundation for teaching the Holy Quran of Malaysia organized a Quran competition in which 450 competitors participated. The competition consists of two categories: boys and girls section and adults section (19 years and above). This was under the supervision of a jury headed by Sheikh Nashwan Abduh Khalid and 6 members. Moreover, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the deputy general-secretary of ministry of interior Mr. Datu Shafie Abu Baker, Islamic consultant of KSA embassy in Malaysia Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Bulaihi, the ambassador of Yemen republic Mr. Muhammed Al Ushbi, a number of scholars, Islamic organizations chairmen, Quran memorizers and a gathering of citizens. The ceremony started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by some delivered speeches in which speakers expressed their happiness and joy attending such a great occasion praising Itqan Foundation for teaching the Holy Quran as well as lauding the great role that HQMI plays in serving the Holy Quran and its memorizers all over the world. They also pointed out to the great effort exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz in serving Islam and Muslims all over the world as well as congratulated in their speeches the memorizers of the Holy Quran encouraging them to keep caring of Quran in terms of memorizing as well as Tajweed following its guidance being good examples in their communities. At the end, gifts and prizes were distributed amongst the winners.
