The International Organization holds a Quran Competition in Britain
In collaboration with Muslim Welfare House in Britain, The Holy Quran Memorization International Organization held a Quran competition in which 64 competitors have participated consists of seven categories: memorizing the entire Quran, 15 Juz’, 5 Juz’, 3 Juz’, 2 Juz’, 1 Juz’ and Surah Al Kahf. A jury was formed for the activities of the competition consists of 6 members. At the end of the competition activities, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the chairman of the secretaries of Muslims Welfare House Mr. Hussain Yusuf, the chairman of the board of directors of Muslim Welfare House Mr. Tawfiq Qasmi, the representative of Somali community Sheikh Ibrahim Musa, a number of those who care of Quran matter, members of jury committee, students and their parents. The ceremony started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by some delivered speeches in which speakers expressed their Quran virtue and its importance in Muslim life as well as they spoke about the virtue of Quran memorizers and their status in the society. Moreover, they congratulated the memorizers and encouraged them to exert more effort in memorizing and mastering Quran following its guidance. They also pointed out to the great role of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz as well as the great effort exerted by HQMI in supporting this competition. At the end of the ceremony, prizes and gifts were distributed amongst the winners.
