In collaboration with The Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI), a Quran Competition is held in Burundi
In collaboration with HQMI, Muslim World League office has organized a Quran competition in the medical college in Burundi in which 85 competitors have participated. It consists of five categories which are: memorizing the entire Quran, memorizing 15 Juz’, memorizing 7, 5, and 3 juz’. A jury was formed for the supervision of this competition consists of four members. Also, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the representative of the Supreme Council of Sheikhs Mr. Fadhil Jummah, the representative of Country Agent Office Mr. Ju’ambil Shaban, the representative of the Mayor and Municipal Mr. Turyaka Amur, the representative of HQMI Mr. Abdulwahab Yahya Alsrari, a number of Islamic Foundations chairmen, directors and teachers of schools, memorizers of the Holy Quran and a gathering of citizens. The ceremony has started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by some speeches in which the speakers expressed their happiness and joy for attending such a great occasion as well as lauded the great role of HQMI in serving the Holy Quran and its memorizers all over the world, Burundi in particular. They have also pointed out to the great effort exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz (may Allah bless him) in serving Islam and Muslims all over the world. Moreover, they have congratulated the memorizers of the Holy Quran as well as encouraged them to exert more effort in memorizing and mastering the Holy Quran following what is within it. At the end of the ceremony, gifts and prizes were distributed to the winners.
