3290 Competitors Participate in Al-Maher of Quran Competition in Afghanistan

In collaboration with The Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI), Holy Quran Teaching and Memorization Organization in Afghanistan has organized Al-Maher of Quran Competition under the sponsorship of the Republic President Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Ghani in which 3290 competitors are participating. It consists of 6 categories which are: memorizing the entire Quran mastering the ten ways of reading, memorizing the entire Quran along with Al-Juzariyya, memorizing the entire Quran along with Riyad Al-Saliheen, memorizing the entire Quran along with Gharaeeb Al-Huffadh, memorizing the entire Quran mastering its interpretation and memorizing the entire Quran for young memorizers. A jury was formed for the activities of this competition consists of 6 members. Moreover, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the undersecretary of the ministry of clans, tribes and border Mr. Muhammed Yaqoub Ahmedzi, the undersecretary of the ministry of labor and social affairs, martyrs and disabled Mr. Wasel Nur, the representative of HQMI Mr. Qari Nur Azzaman Shraft, a number of scholars, Imams, teachers, students and their parents and a gathering of citizens. The ceremony has started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by delivered speeches in which the speakers thanked the organizers of the competition as well as lauded the great work exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for Islamic Nation all over the world, and in Afghanistan in particular, as well as they lauded the great effort of HQMI in serving the Holy Quran all over the world. Also, they spoke about the virtues of memorizing Quran and encouraged the students to exert more effort in memorizing and mastering the Quran following what is within it of good ethics. However, the ceremony was permeated by some recitations from young memorizers. At the end, prizes and gifts were distributed amongst the winners.
