Under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the honor of the governor of Jeddah Prince Mishaal bin Majeed, HQMI honors the winners of the Eighth International Award for serving the Holy Quran

Under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and honor of the governor of Jeddah Prince Mishaal bin Majeed and attendance of the secretary-general of the Muslim World League and the chairman of the administrative council of HQMI Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmihsen Al Turki and general-secretary of HQMI Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Basfar, HQMI held the Eighth International Award ceremony for serving the Holy Quran on Monday, the 12th of the Holy Ramadan in Park Hyatt Hotel in Jeddah. The ceremony has started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a welcoming speech in which the general-secretary Dr. Abdullah Basfar welcomed the governor of Jeddah Prince Mishaal bin Majeed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as the secretary-general of the Muslim World League and the chairman of the administrative council of HQMI Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmihsen Al Turki and the audience.
He, also, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for his sponsorship asking Allah the Almighty to extend his lifetime, grant him healthy life and grant Islam and Muslims glory through him for his serving of Quran and its people. Moreover, he assured that the ceremony is, indeed, honored being under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who exerts as much as he can to serve the Holy Quran as he sponsors King Salman Local Competition from his own money as well as King Abdulaziz International Competition for Quran and Holy Quran Foundations in the Kingdom in both morally and materially. For that, character of the year award for serving the Holy Quran has been honored for choosing him as he combines both firmness and hope. In addition, he thanked the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz and the Deputy Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz for caring and supporting Quran matters as well as the consultant of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the province of Mecca Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz and the governor of Jeddah Prince Mishaal bin Majeed bin Abdulaziz for their continuous sponsorship of HQMI and for attending its various occasions. Also, he thanked the secretary-general of the Muslim World League and the chairman of the administrative council of HQMI Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmihsen Al Turki for being the head of HQMI meetings as well as for his great management of MWL and HQMI. He, also, thanked the Public Foundation members, the Board of Directors and the volunteers in serving these blessed works seeking Allah’s satisfaction. Then, he thanked HQMI supporters having their trust on its efforts which has expanded all over the world with Allah’s will as well as he thanked the employees and the collaborators inside and outside for their effort in serving the Holy Quran.
On the other hand, Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al Sadan, the General Director of Islamic Affairs of Armed Forces, delivered a speech on the behave of the award’s winners in which he thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, government and people, in the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for his sponsorship of this ceremony and generosity towards Quran people and Muslim nation as well as he thanked Prince Mishaal bin Majeed for his honorable attendance. Also, he thanked HQMI for serving the Holy Quran all over the world. The ceremony was permeated by some recitations of young memorizers. After that, the secretary-general of the Muslim World League and the chairman of the administrative council of HQMI Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmihsen Al Turki delivered a speech in which he said that: we are happy that to bear witness of our rulers caring of the Holy Quran and Muslims since the founder King Abdulaziz in Abdulrahman may Allah have His mercy upon him until the current era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as well as he pointed out to the continuous effort of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in serving the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of His Prophet and whatever benefits Islam and Muslims. Moreover, he pointed out to the support that HQMI experiences from the rulers and on the top of them the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and his sponsorship of such an award is an enough witness of that, as well as the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz and the Deputy Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and the governor of Jeddah Prince Mishaal bin Majeed. Also, he assured in his speech that the rulers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are keen towards Quran matters. At the end of his speech, he thanked whoever collaborates and supports with HQMI as well as he thanked Dr. Abdullah Basfar for his honorable attendance and for his tours all over the world. He also assured that caring of Quran gets rid of Islamic nation disputes pointing out to the matter that Muslims in the beginning of time in Mecca and Medina carried this message to the world as a whole.
In addition, he thanked Dr. Abdullah Basfar and the employees of HQMI for the great effort that they have exerted in serving the Holy Quran and spreading it all over the world as well as he assured that this award and other competitions enhance Muslims to pay more attention to Quran.
At the end of the ceremony, Prince Mishaal bin Majeed and Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmihsen Al Turki honored the winners of the International Award who memorize Quran as well as the sponsors and supporters. On the other hand, the secretary-general of the Muslim World League and the chairman of the administrative council of HQMI Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmihsen Al Turki as well as the governor of Jeddah Prince Mishaal bin Majeed were honored as well.

• The best collage of the Holy Quran award goes for the College of Holy Quran and its Sciences “Ghana”.
• The best foundation of memorizing the Holy Quran award goes for the Holy Quran Dar “Indonesia”.
• The best teacher of the Holy Quran award goes to Sheikh Abdullah Muhammad Al Tahir Muhammad Ibrahim.
• The best TV Quran show award goes to Traveler with Quran show provided by Sheikh Fahad Al Kandari.
• The best Quran website on internet or application award goes to the Two Holy Mosques Recitation of the General Presidency of Mecca and Medina affairs.
• The best scientific research in learning Quran field award goes to Ali Al Jaffali Charitable Foundation for revising “Al Kashf wa Al Bayan fi Tafseer Al Quran – Imam Al Thalabi” Book.

 Second: Huthaifah Abdulrahman from Bangladesh, 10 years old.
 Third: Abdullah Al Mahfuth Zain Al Abdeen from Bangladesh, 10 years old.
 Repeated Third: Amer Khan Muhammad Rais from India, 9 years old.
 Fifth: Alaa Taha Ali Taha from Egypt, 9 years old.
The winners of Al Maheer competition for understanding Quran are:
