Al Khair Charitable Organization and Al Fashir University in Darfur organize a Quran Competition for 54 memorizers in collaboration with the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI) under the sponsorship of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY)
In collaboration with HQMI and WAMY, Al Khair Charitable Organization and Al Fashir university in Darfur in Sudan have organized the first Quran Competition in which 54 memorizers have participated that was held in Al Fashir university in Sudan. The competition consists of three categories: memorizing the entire Quran, 20 Juz' and 10 Juz' with a jury headed by Prof. Al Badri Umar Bisharah and other 5 members. In addition, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the minister of the higher education Prof. Sumayah Abu Kushwah, the previous chairman of Al Fashir university Prof. Abdullah Abdulhai, the WAMY vice chairman of Africa commity Sheikh Ibrahim Muhammad Al Habr, the representative of HQMI Dr. Al Naeem Hamzah Muhammad and a number of scholars, sheikhs, teachers and students as well as citizens. The ceremony was started by a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by delivering some speeches in which speakers have thanked the organizers of the competition, pointed out to the role of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz in serving Islam and Muslims, lauded the effort exerted by HQMI in serving the Holy Quran all over the world and encouraged the students to pay more attention to the Book of Allah in terms of memorizing it as well as Tajweed. At the end, prizes and gifts were presented to the winners.
