349 Memorizer Participate in The Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI) competition in Malawi

HQMI, in collaboration with AL Baraka charitable foundation, has held a Quran competition in Blantyre city in Malawi in which 349 memorizers of Quran have participated. The competition consists of seven categories: memorizing the whole Quran, memorizing 20 chapters, 15 chapters, 10 chapters, 5 chapters, 3 chapters and 'Amma chapter of the Holy Quran. The jury for judging in this competition is formed as following: the head, Sheikh Muhammad Atiyyah, the director of Omar bin AL Khattab institute and the three other members. At the end of the competition, an honoring ceremony was held for the competitors attended by the Mufti of Malawi Sheikh Abbas Qasem, the director of AL Baraka charitable foundation Sheikh Ibrahim Meblanzi, the director of Malawi Muslims Committee Sheikh Idris Muhammad and a number of the representatives of foundations and Islamic organizations in Malawi. Also, the director and teachers of Omar bin AL Khattab institute as well as the students and their parents and all citizens. The ceremony has started with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by delivering several speeches in which speakers have expressed their happiness because of attending this occasion. They have also mentioned the importance of memorizing and mastering the Holy Quran as well as congratulated the students who participated and encourage them to stick to Quran, keep applying what is within it and to be good examples in their communities. Also, they have thanked the organizers of the competition and lauded the great effort exerted by HQMI in serving the Holy Quran all over the world and in particular in Malawi and mentioned what the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offers for Islam and Muslims. At the end, prizes were distributed to the winners and gifts to all participants.
