Holding 14th Iinternational Quranic Contest in Russia
The Muslim Religious Board of the Russian Muftis Council, in collaboration with the Holy Quran Memorization International Organization (HQMI) held the 14th International Quranic Contest in the National Ceremonial House in Moscow. Thirty –Six competitors, who had completed their memorization of the Holy Quran, participated in the event.
The jury panel of this contest was composed of four members. Then an Honorary Ceremony was held to honor the participants. It was attended by Sheikh Rawy Ein El-Deen, the Chairman of the Religious Board of the Russian Muftis Council in Russia, and Sheikh Abu Bakr Ash-Shatri, the famous great reciter.
The Ceremony was attended also by Mr. Ibrahim Sabirov, the Head of Othman Ibn-Affan Institute in Russia in addition to a number of ambassadors of Islamic countries, some citizens, in addition to Holy Qur’an Memorizers and their parents. The ceremony was inaugurated with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. Then several speakers delivered their speeches in which they welcomed the attendees, and thanked them for their participation in the contest ceremony. They congratulated the Holy Qur’an memorizers, urging them to give special attention to learning the knowledge and application of the rules of Qur’an recitation. They highlighted the memorizers’ honorable and prestigious rank in their communities and their high rank with Allah, Exalted be He.
They thanked the organizers of the contest, and commended the efforts exerted by HQMI Organization in serving and teaching the Holy Quran, spreading its teaching worldwide. By the end of the ceremony the awards were distributed among the winning memorizers.
