Board of Directors of HQMI Organization Held its 26th Meeting Chaired by HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki
HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Holy Qur’an Memorization International (HQMI) Organization headed 26th meeting of the members of the Board of Directors of HQMI Organization, that was held on Thursday morning, 27/11/1434 AH at the Organization’s headquarters in Jeddah.
It was attended by Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, the head of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Abdullah Basfar, Secretary-General of HQMI Organization, and the members of the Board of Directors. The meeting commenced with a speech delievered by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Turki in which he welcomed the Board members and thanked them for their interest and eagerness to attend the meeting.
Then the attendees reviewed the meeting agenda included in the minutes of the previous meeting and all the implemented actions and recommendations of the 13th Meeting of the Constitutional Body. In addition, they discussed the budget items for the year 2014 and the budget was approved.
In addition, the attendees reviewed the draft statute of the World Council of Sheikhs of Reciters, and also reviewed HQMI Organization’s annual plan for the year 2014. Moreover, they discussed the main pivots of the Third World Conference for Teaching The Holy Quran under the title: “The Impact of the Media on Teaching the Noble Quran”.
The attendees mentioned their comments on them. Furthermore, the Board adopted and approved the names of the new members of the Executive Committee.
At the end of the meeting, HE Dr. Turki, on behalf of the Board of Directors, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah protect them) for their interest in serving the Noble Qur'an and their keenness to bolster all issues and events related to Noble Quran in addition to their support to HQMI Organization in its performance of its great Quranic mission around the world.
